Honey Boo Boo Holiday Specials and New Episodes Announced

Get ready, America: Here comes more Honey Boo Boo!

On Wednesday, TLC announced that it has ordered more episodes of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” its show about 7-year-old beauty pageant vet Alana Thompson and her family in rural Georgia.

The series, spun off from “Toddlers & Tiaras,” has become a massive hit and cultural phenomenon since its August premiere, and now the Thompson gang will star in a new batch of episodes — as well as holiday specials tied to Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

In a statement, the network said of the Thompsons and their show, “What you see is what you get and we are excited to share even more of Alana and her family’s unbridled hilarity, sincerity and love with our viewers.”

Besides little Honey Boo Boo herself, “Mama” June has been perhaps the breakout star of the series, which also features father Mike (aka “Sugar Bear”) and daughters nicknamed “Chickadee,” “Chubbs” and “Pumpkin.”

    I am 100% not excited for Honey Boo Boo! Unfortunately, my
    roommates do not feel the same way. I don’t think one episode slipped by
    without them knowing. Have you every tried to watch that show while eating
    dinner? It’s disgusting! I know it’s my fault for moving in with a bunch of
    reality TV show junkies, but come on; there’s only so much Honey Boo Boo one
    person can take! Thank goodness that my Hopper DVR has three independent
    tuners, so they can feast their eyes on all the Honey Boo Boo they want without
    affecting what I watch. Honestly, the last thing I want to do after a full day
    in my office at DISH is watch this family’s shenanigans.

    These people are now experiencing new found fame and have turned it up a notch for ratings! Come on TLC…don’t insult anyone’s intelligence. They are becoming the Kardashians on a different level. Such disappointing news.

    I share your pain Christy. Between the gross over use of certain body parts to the deplorable eating habits, these folks are more than disgusting. Its just not funny anymore it is disgraceful.
