HollywoodLife Crashes with Tom Cruise Motorcycle Accident Report

HollywoodLife.com managed — shockingly — to sink to a new low today.

This afternoon the site posted an “exclusive” claiming Tom Cruise had been hurt in a motorcycle accident at around 12:00 PM PT outside KOI Restaurant in Los Angeles.

“Ambulances are currently on their way to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center,” blares the brightly colored embarrassment to journalism. “It appears he has been hurt — but thank God, not fatally!”

Tom Cruise was not injured and rushed to the hospital today.

When Gossip Cop couldn’t reach Cruise’s rep, we called a rep for wife Katie Holmes, who assured us the ambulance story is “not true.” The rep made sure to check with Cruise’s office.

It might be time for HollywoodLife to shift gears.

    That site is just as bad as Perez. They now changed their story. No reference to the hospital anymore or him being hurt.

    I notice this comes out the same day that the New York Times puts out a front-page article exposing Cruise’s “religion”- http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/07/us/07scientology.html

    That Times article is probably why Tom’s publicst was unable to be reached. I am sure GC wasn’t the only outlet looking for a statement.

    Who the freak cares why the publicist could or couldn’t be reached. Good job GC getting Katie’s publicist so quickly and not letting another BS story from Hollywood Life have any legitimacy. Like GossipGirl said, they’re as bad as Dawn Marie’s Perez. Again, Dawn, no one freakin’ care about your theories, insights… If you truly knew anything about reporting, you wouldn’t get so much wrong or have a stick for GC. GC is the best!

    They are the worst hen site going. I do not believe anythin Holywood life writes. It is pretty obvious that they are run by some pretty miserable people.
