Holly Robinson Peete: More Hosts Could Leave “The Talk” [VIDEO]

VIDEO

(Hip Hollywood)

Holly Robinson Peete isn’t so sure she’s coming back to “The Talk.”

When asked about co-host Sharon Osbourne‘s hiatus, Peete implies that it might not be the only change to the CBS daytime show’s panel.

“To be really honest with you, breaking news, I don’t know,” she says. “I haven’t heard anything… my option hasn’t been picked up.”

Peete and Osbourne sat alongside Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert and Leah Remini during the show’s first season.

It sounds like Peete would love to be back if producers want her to be.

“I love the show, and I feel like I’m good on the show… It’s so hard to find five women who have such a great vibe and chemistry, and I think we really have that, and it would be a shame not to see it again in September.”

I do I want them all back!! They blend really well and make a great show. I understand why Sharon is taking a break…to spend time with her husband…but I don’t understand why Holly wouldn’t be coming back?! Just sign her on CBS!

It’s possible that the show itself is not going to be optioned for next season.

  • Shannon

It must attract a certain audience. I fell asleep the first time I watched it.

  • Jennifer

I’ve seen it a few times. DVR’d it, along with The View. It was ok, but didn’t hold my interest. If it’s a choice between The Talk and The View, I’m a long time View fan and I really don’t have time for two per day of that format.

CBS announced in January 2011 that it had been renewed for another season.

I like the Talk…sometimes Holly gets on my nerves cause she always has to Favor Black guests…I think she is a little prejudiced, not completely, but somewhat….I like Leah, but I wish she was not a scientologist..wake up about that! I Love Sarah! I like Sharon too and Julie seems pretty nice.
I like it a whole lot more then the View with that snob Barbara Walters! The only one I like on that show is Whoppie!

  • sharonyoung999

Hey BEER, I agree with everything you said except for Leah, I just can’t stand her big mouth. She ruins the show for me totally. I just can’t watch because of her. Hope she gets canned.

  • Pallas

Are you serious, how does Holly favor black people? Who cares about Leah’s religious beliefs, grow up and get a life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please don’t get rid of Holly too. I definitely won’t watch if Holly’s not back on. Good move to get rid of Leah…she tried too hard to get the attention with her antics and it was annoying. Try to keep Sharon on too…she was wonderful!

  • Bshartwell24

    she wouldn’t be missed.

  • Becky Gutierrez26

I think they all were greaat together. There all different and it would be boring if they weren’t! PLEASE NO KRIS JENNER!!!!! SICK OF HER EVERYWHER.

  • Trcooper

I want Holly to stay; glad to see Leah leaving–couldn’t stand her! I’m not sad to see Sharon leave either. I do like Julie & Sarah but please, no Kris Jenner!

  • Seriouslypissed

They needed to keep the show the way it was for a second season. The dynamic between the 5 ladies worked. They all have a special chemistry with each other. Leah’s cooky craziness off set’s Sarah’s dry monotone humor and draws her out of her shell most times. Sharon is like the crazy mom of the show, and is always saying something outrageous. I love her. Holly has a quick sharp wit that underlies the entire cast and is often unexpected at times but greatly appreciated. She brings a little funk to the group. Julie is supposed to be the serious moderator, and is quite boring at times, but without Leah, Holly, and Sharon to offset that and push her to be more open and realistic about who she is, it doesn’t work. I started watching the show because I liked the dynamic of the ladies together. Now if this changes, why do I need to waste time recording it and watching it? The people that made it most interesting won’t be on. It’s like the saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. IDIOTS!!!
Well, it was fun and interesting while it lasted….

Thanks to Julie Chen who is married to the president of CBS, she got Leah and Holly fired because they dared to disagree with her about something. The show is actually Sara Gilberts show, but Julie wants it to be called Julie and Friends or Julie in the afternoon.. Julie reminded Holly and Leah that she was married to the Godfather before she got them fired. I won’t watch the show anymore, nor will I watch Big Brother.. Now we may know why she’s not lasted on any of her other shows. Actually Sharon O wanted out too, but they wouldn’t let her out, so she’s going to be off as much as possible.

Why does there have to be one in every crowd.. Your comment is ridiculous.

  • Lu Cepaitis

I agree completly with Seriouslypissed! I think all 5 women added diversity to the show. I just watched the new season opener and was really bummed to find Leah and Holly missing from their seats. I did like Molly she added some humor but as a guest not a host. To be honest can’t even remember the other new face. Too bad CBS didn’t let well enough alone. I think the ratings are going to drop drastically and it more than likely won’t last much longer. I personally liked the show much better than the View, all they do there is scream and talk over each other.

  • Sandraqnn

I totally agree. Leah got on my nerves at times but she brought a different view. If Holly is not on I will definitely not watch the show. If it’s really Sara Gilberts show let her run it from the side lines because she definitely is the worst

Actually Osbourne was quietly let go. Her laughing at the mans penis been cut off and put in the garbage disposal and taking glee from it was what prompted her ouster. Taking time with the hubby is just a smoke screen. Poor Ozzy. As to the others they laughed as well and were let go. Gilbert was the only sensible one and did not laugh and actually pointed out if a man had cut out his wife’s genitals and put them down the garbage disposal well we know there would have been no laughter.
As to Chen well she is the wife of the CBS president so she would never be let go. Activism works!!!!!

I’m happy to see Leah go. Liked Hollly but really was getting tired of all 5, especially Leah but all 5 are guilty to some degree of bringing too much of their own everyday lives into this. It’s like the mean girls in high school talking about the latest party they were invited to and what a “mahvelous’ time they had. Sara doesn’t bring so much of this in as Julie, Leah, Holly and Mrs. O. I realize a co-host in this type of format brings certain things to a show but with Leah, it just got too hard to watch. She is funny but so attention-seeking I had to stop watching.

  • Dbroumley

I will delete my DVR no more The Talk I loved Leah and Holly!!
    What were u thinking CBS!!!!!!!

  • JB

Leah was the only reason I watched the show she is original, and so is Sara the rest are acting and I can’t get with that. Leah you should start your own talk show called keeping it real with Leah.

  • JB

Can’t get with scientologist Leah, but I do like you on the show.

  • AskYnot?

I was a die hard fan of the show, but with Leah and Holly gone-it’s not as “rich” as it was before. I’m really disappointed. I do know Sheryl from the morning shows on radio, but I thought having the original 5 bought a real “I can relate” feeling to the show. Now, it just feels scripted. Sorry, but you just lost another dedicated fan…

  • Nunya

I won’t be watching any more due to CBS’ changes. It stinks now!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Gerrie-Barnett-Campbell/100001387646151 Gerrie Barnett-Campbell

I agree with you. I wont be a fan any longer. Both of them made the show along with the others

  • Lorettacroom

African American has watched white people favor white people on television for over 400 years. So who cares if Holly favors her black guess for three months? And you call this Prejudiced? Black people live with this every day of their lives. Get over it. Your entitlement syndrome is showing.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1135522739 Nancy Gingrich-Riley

I say Good Riddance…Leah was a loud mouth who over talked everyone and put down her “friend” Sarah..And Holly got much to political and racial….If I wanted to watch a show like that i would be watching the horrible mess called “The View.”

  • seriouslypissed #2

I totally agree with you on all points. The show is just not the same. They have lost this fan.

  • Mskdmcd

i just new someting was wrong with the show with them gone the show is just not the same with out them

  • LM7777

I won’t be watching the talk any more. I loved all of them. Leah made me laugh every day. Who cares about her religion. I used to watch the early show in the morning when they had on Maggie, Dave and Harry and when they left I stopped watching it and now I will not be watching the talk. CBS is always making dumb changes.

  • Tsherr344

I agree, the show is not the same.

  • Sevile92

Sometime we loose sight of what is really important in life. We get so caught up in every day life situation. The Talk, The View, Wendy Williams, etc. Gossip, Gossip, Gossip. I dare them to talk about The Lord.
