WATCH: Hollie Cavanagh Earns Standing Ovation on Idol with Miley Cyrus Song

“American Idol” finalist Hollie Cavanagh received her first standing ovation from the judges on Wedesday’s show.

The singer performed Miley Cyrus‘ “The Climb,” which judge Randy Jackson said was the “perfect” song choice.

Added Jennifer Lopez, “That was stepping it up!”

Cavanagh has spent several weeks in the Bottom Three this season.

Yes. Finally, the judges understand that that is Hollie’s style, she will not sing songs that would not be out of her style, as jennifer sings pop and mariah balads, Hollie sings songs like this. There is nothing to change on her, cause she’s ready to win it, ok.

It was an okay performance not better as miley but it was good. I don’t see how people can say she sung it better than miley

It’s about time they stood up for someone other than Joshua! He’s talented, but he’s not all that. Frankly, he screams too much for me. It’s nice to see someone else get recognized for a change.
