The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies Soldiers To Top Of Box Office
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies beat out Into The Woods and Unbroken for yet another box office weekend crown. The final installment of the epic fantasy earned $21.9 million in its third week of release. That was enough to edge out Into The Wood, the star-studded musical, which came in second with $19.1 million. Nabbing third was Unbroken, Angelina Jolie’s directorial effort, which made $18.4 million.
The two sequels, The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death and Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, came in fourth and fifth places with $15.1 million and $14.5 million, respectively.
Rounding out the Top 10 were Annie ($11.4 million), The Imitation Game ($8.1 million), The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 ($7.7 million), The Gambler ($6.3 million), and Big Hero 6 ($4.8 million). What did you see this weekend?
