Hillary Clinton: “I Love The Impersonations Of Me” On “SNL” (VIDEO)
Hillary Clinton is expected to make a cameo on the “Saturday Night Live” season premiere, and there’s a good reason why. The presidential candidate says she loves the show’s impersonations of her. Watch below!
On Saturday, Miley Cyrus will usher in the NBC show’s 41st season as both host and musical guest. But she may get overshadowed by the future president of the United States. As Gossip Cop has reported, Clinton has been portrayed on the show by various stars, including Amy Poehler and Kate McKinnon.
“Lorne Michaels just asked me if I would do it, and I said ‘sure,’ because I love the impersonations of me,” Clinton tells “Entertainment Tonight.” “First by Amy, who’s a great friend, now by Kate. I’m just thrilled he’s got these amazing women doing these impersonations, and I want to see how it goes.”
Diplomatically, Clinton refuses to pick a favorite between Poehler and McKinnon. “I like them both,” she replies. “I have not seen as much of Kate yet as I have seen over the years with Amy, and Amy is a friend of mine, and we have known each other and done things together.”
Clinton adds, “But they come at it from a slightly different perspective and I learn something about myself watching them pretend to be me. So I’m looking forward to spending the time with Kate.” The Democratic contender goes on to note the behind-the-scenes craziness at “SNL,” but admits she enjoys it.
“It’s almost like a creative act that you’re in the middle of, and you’re participating but you’re also watching and learning from it,” she says. Check out the video below. Gossip Cop will have full coverage of the “SNL” premiere on Saturday night.
