Hillary Clinton Talks Kanye West Presidential Announcement, Email Scandal On ‘Ellen DeGeneres’ (VIDEO)
Hillary Clinton discussed Kanye West announcing he’s running for president in 2020, as well as her email scandal during a live taping of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in New York on Tuesday. As Gossip Cop previously reported, West said at the MTV Video Music Awards earlier this month that he plans on running for president. Watch the video below.
“I would only ask him if I’m running for re-election to wait,” said Clinton, adding, “Otherwise, a lot of people want to run for president these days.” Clinton, who announced her candidacy in April, also opened up to DeGeneres about using a private email account during her time as Secretary of State.
“I used a personal email account. It was allowed by the State Department, but I should have used two different accounts,” explained Clinton, adding, “I made a mistake, and I’m sorry for all the confusion that has ensued. I take responsibility for that, but I’m now trying to be as transparent as not just I can, but as anybody has been.”
Following Clinton’s apology, the presidential candidate also entertained the crowd as she tried to do the popular dance the Whip/Nae Nae with DeGeneres and Magic Mike XXL star Stephen “tWitch” Boss. Clinton also interacted a bit with Amy Schumer, who made an appearance on the show, set to air Thursday, wearing bright red roller skates.
