Hilary Duff “Totally Open” To Lizzie McGuire 10-Year Reunion: “Why Not?!”
After 10 years, Hilary Duff says she’s “totally open” to returning to the character who made her famous, Lizzie McGuire.
The actress rose to fame as a child star on the beloved Disney Channel series “Lizzie McGuire,” which ran from 2001 to 2004, with a big-screen adaptation released in 2003.
Duff has since gone on to movies, music, and motherhood, but many fans still associate her with the lovable, relatable teen she played on TV (and her animated alter-ego).
Asked whether she’d be interested in a reunion of some sort, the actress-singer replied, “I would be totally open to it.”
She told The Huffington Post:
“I mean, so many people loved her. I loved her. Honestly, working on that show, I got so strong with my physical comedy and all the things that they would throw at me. I got covered in goo every week, and I got, like, smashed in the face with a locker every single week. And all this, I mean it was a really, really fun show. And obviously people really loved her. Maybe a ‘Lizzie: Where Are You Now?’ like 10 years later.”
Duff further acknowledged, “My schedule is a little busy right now. But… why not?”
Would you want a “Lizzie McGuire” reunion?
