Hilary Duff Files For Divorce From Mike Comrie
Hilary Duff has officially filed for divorce from Mike Comrie, Gossip Cop confirms. The actress and the hockey player announced their separation back in January 2014. Over the past year, Duff and Comrie have intermittently spent time together with their son, Luca, leading to speculation about a reconciliation. On Friday, Duff made their split official.
Duff cites “irreconcilable differences” in the divorce documents, and asks for primary physical custody of Luca. The actress-singer wants Comrie to have visitation privileges, although TMZ is citing sources who claim she’s concerned about Comrie’s pattern of partying and its potential impact on the toddler. The outlet is also reporting that Duff decided to file after months of delay because of media reports that Comrie recently made a scene at Mastro’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills, allegedly making unwanted advances on women.
Duff and Comrie married, with a prenuptial agreement, in 2010. They welcomed Luca in March 2012. Back in October, Gossip Cop exclusively debunked the latest round of reconciliation rumors about the estranged couple, sparked by a joint appearance at a Halloween party. In fact, over the course of the last 12 months, Gossip Cop repeatedly reported that reconciliation talk in the tabloids was unfounded. Now Duff has made the divorce official. Gossip Cop will have updates on the couple’s agreement.
