Heidi Klum Evacuated After Bomb Threat During Live Germany’s Next Top Model Finale (PHOTO)
Heidi Klum was evacuated after a bomb threat during the live finale of “Germany’s Next Top Model” on Thursday.
The German-born supermodel was hosting the broadcast at the Mannheim SAP Arena when an anonymous person called in a bomb threat to the venue, saying an explosive would go off. The show’s live feed was pulled from the air by the network, ProSieben, which originally claimed they were having “technical problems.” Klum, who was accompanied by her daughter Leni, was forced to evacuate, along with others involved in the production and the reported 10,000 audience members.
Reports say Klum was also approached by a man who also delivered a bomb threat to her directly and was subsequently arrested while she and her daughter were taken to an undisclosed location. Upon investigating, police found what was initially deemed a suspicious suitcase outside a dressing room, but it was determined to be non-hazardous and reunited with its owner.
Klum later posted the above photo on Twitter, and wrote in German, “Liebe GNT-Fans, der Abend ist leider nicht so zu Ende gegangen, wie ich es mir gewünscht hatte! Sicherheit geht vor!” Her message translates to, “Dear GNT fans, unfortunately the evening didn’t end the way I wanted! Safety comes first!” This episode was the first part of the 10th season finale of “Germany’s Next Top Model,” and featured a performance from Jason Derulo prior to the incident.
Due to the scary disruption, the rest of the finale is now expected to take place on May 28. That will be two days after Klum’s U.S. reality show, “America’s Got Talent,” premieres on NBC. Gossip Cop will have updates.
