Heather Locklear: Rehab To “Better My Life,” Work On “Certain Issues”
Heather Locklear says she’s “feeling great” and taking steps to “better” her life, as she deals with “certain issues” in rehab. The actress, who’s set to star on the TLC series, “Too Close To Home,” is working on some of her problems so that she can “hit 2017 full steam ahead.”
Locklear, who seemingly checked into rehab after a difficult time over the holidays, said in a statement furnished to Gossip Cop, “I am feeling great and am taking steps to enrich and better my life. Currently I am working on tying up some loose ends regarding certain issues so I can hit 2017 full steam ahead.”
In 2012, Gossip Cop reported Locklear was hospitalized for allegedly taking a combination of alcohol and prescription pills. As noted at the time, it was not a suicide attempt, but Locklear was in such distress that her sister called 911. When the actress arrived at Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, California, the former “Melrose Place” and “Spin City” star appeared “agitated” and “was not speaking in coherent terms,” said the hospital’s rep.
Locklear was released the following day into the care of her family. Shortly afterwards, she began an outpatient treatment program. The actress reportedly had sobriety problems following her 2011 split with then-finance Jack Wagner. But even before that episode, as we wrote in 2010, Locklear did a 30-day, under-the-radar in-patient rehab for prescription drugs. Gossip Cop sincerely wishes Locklear a fulfilling 2017.
