Harry Styles Congratulated On “Sign Of The Times” By One Direction, Celebrity Friends
Harry Styles released his first solo song, “Sign Of The Times,” on Friday. Now congratulations are pouring in from his fellow One Direction members and other celebrity friends.
Fans have been anticipating Styles’ solo music since One Direction went on hiatus, and even before. Last June, Styles scored a record deal with Columbia Records for his debut album as a solo artist. Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne made similar moves with other labels, as did Zayn Malik after he left the group.
All these months later, Styles first teased his sound in March with a commercial during “The X Factor U.K.” Then just last week, he announced the title of his first single, shared the cover art (see above), and revealed it would drop on April 7.
Now the long-awaited day has finally arrived, and Styles is getting a lot of love from his famous pals and band mates. Horan tweeted, “Love it H.” And Payne wrote, “Proud of you H. Glad you’re getting to do your own thing.”
Zedd told Styles, “Respect for your new song. I love it!” Meghan Trainor, who previously collaborated with the British star, exclaimed on Instagram, “ITS FINALLY OUT!!!!!! Congratulations @harrystyles you should be very proud. Glad the world can finally hear what’s in your brain.”
Back on Twitter, Olly Murrs also wrote, “What a song this is @Harry_Styles #signofthetimes congrats sir.” Longtime supporter James Corden even tweeted that he had the song “on repeat.” Styles will perform “Sign Of The Times” live on TV for the first time on April 15. Gossip Cop will have full coverage. In the meantime, listen below!
