Harry Styles NOT Playing Axl Rose In Guns N’ Roses Biopic, Despite Report
According to Star, the producers of a supposed movie about iconic rock band Guns N’ Roses are in talks with Styles to star as controversial frontman Rose. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “He’s beyond thrilled. Because of his rocker looks, Harry has regularly been compared to a young Axl, so he thinks this is the perfect role to make the leap into acting.”
The magazine’s dubious source further says, “Harry needs to work on his acting skills if he’s going to get the part. It’s nerve-racking to have these huge expectations on his shoulders, but he’s been throwing himself into preparations.” First off, no film studio or production company has made any announcement about a Guns N’ Roses biopic even being in development. Regardless, Gossip Cop is exclusively told by a source close to Styles that there have been zero discussions about him playing Rose, and the tabloid’s story is simply “false.”
In fact, Gossip Cop previously corrected Star’s sister publication, the National Enquirer, for also making up fake casting news about Styles. We busted the magazine’s claim the singer would be playing Frank Sinatra in a movie, which obviously never happened.
