Halle Berry on Paparazzi Blowup: “I’m Ferocious” to Protect Daughter Nahla

VIDEO

(Extra)

Halle Berry admits she acted a bit inappropriately when she blasted paparazzi last week for gathering outside daughter Nahla’s school, but she won’t apologize for protecting her child.

“I hate that I lost my cool, but you know, I’m human. That happens and when it comes to my daughter — I’m ferocious,” she tells “Extra” co-host Mario Lopez.

Berry went on to explain that she’s been “struggling for years” when it comes to keeping her little girl safe from the often invasive — and sometimes dangerous — photographers.

“There are no laws here that protect our children and as a mom, coming to the school… not only my child, but all the children that are there. It’s just wrong, wrong, wrong,” she says.

And now the Oscar winner may appeal to someone pretty powerful to help make a change.

“You know, I think I’m going call [President] Obama and say ‘look, can you help us?’” she tells Lopez, adding, “I know this seems like a little issue right now, but it’s a big issue in our lives and our lives at the school and our children being protected.”

You go Halle! I would back you 100%. If it were my child, I would have a baseball bat ready to knock the living sh** out of them for frightening my child the way I see that little girl frightened and other celeb children. It’s a crime shame that those ugly men that I have seen with rubber suits and rubber boots on to confront little children enough to scare them to death. It’s what you see firemen wear going into a burning building. When I was a child that use to frighten me to death. One wearing that kind of thing is enough. I hope your little girl doesn’t have nightmares.
They are some of the most frightening looking men with bad, criminal attitudes and above all they are pointing those big cameras directly at those children. All celebs should get together to get something done about that. It’s bad enough when those atrocious looking people even take cameras and try camera raping celebs and children too. LA need stricter laws there that are enforced. I could never live there. Those paparazzi and tabloids are taking over LA and America. It’s a shame. I would fight for my child too. People don’t seem to care there (LA) or they would have more done to protect the young and citizens form those atrocious paparazzi. They cause accidents from chasing celebs that seem to get pushed under the rug by people who are uncaring and only want the profits from the pics.

I totally agree with you. But as much as we can sympathize with the celebs, apparently it bothers us more than it does them. You are right, they could and should do something, they won’t because it keeps them in the news and the paparazzi knows that, your reaction is what they want from everyone. It’s publicity and the child could be homeschooled I’m sure Ms.Berry can afford a tutor.
