Accompanying one of the creepiest paparazzi shots ever, X17Online writes, “After a string of failed marriages, could Halle Berry be close to walking down the aisle again with her latest beau Olivier Martinez?”

According to the site, “The 44-year-old Oscar-winning actress cruised around Los Angeles with, what appears to be, a massive engagement ring.”

“With what appears to be”?!

How can anyone tell with that fuzzy stalkerazzi shot?

Since Gossip Cop doesn’t pass off grainy images as reporting, we called a number of sources far closer to Berry than the paparazzo who took that long-lensed photo. And according to a Berry insider, “she’s not” engaged and the bauble is “a ring of her own,” not an engagement ring.

Once again, another X17Online story that doesn’t ring true.
