Hailee Steinfeld has inked a record deal with Republic Records, the music label announced Thursday. The Pitch Perfect 2 star has already been in the studio preparing her upcoming debut album. The actress excitedly reacted to the news on Twitter, tweeting “WHAT EVEN RIGHT NOW.” Listen to a song from Steinfeld below.

In statements furnish to Gossip Cop, Republic Records executives touted Steinfeld, an Oscar nominee when she was just 14, as a double threat. “Hailee is a multi-talented artist and among her many gifts, her voice is both unique and undeniable,” said Monte Lipman, the co-founder and CEO of the company. “It’s exciting to have her join the Republic Records family.

And Republic Records executive vice president Charlie Walk said, “The moment that we met Hailee, we found her commitment to music inspiring. She has the vision, natural talent and dedication to compete at the highest level. We are thrilled to be a part of her musical journey.”

Steinfeld’s career has been soaring to new heights lately, with Republic Records describing her as a “true 21st century showstopper.” The announcement of the record contact comes just a few days after her latest movie, Pitch Perfect 2, in which she sings as a newcomer to the ensemble cast, grossed the highest opening ever for a musical. She also appeared in Taylor Swift’s just-released “Bad Blood” music video.

Earlier this week, Steinfeld shared a video of herself singing an acoustic version of “Flashlight,” a song written by Sam Smith and Sia, and recorded by Jessie J for the Pitch Perfect 2 soundtrack.
