Gwyneth Paltrow “Furious” Julia Roberts Offered ‘Scream Queens’ Role Over Her?
Gwyneth Paltrow is not “furious” her boyfriend Brad Falchuk supposedly offered Julia Roberts a role over her on “Scream Queens,” despite a ridiculous new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this story. We’re told it’s “complete BS.”
According to OK!, Falchuk and “Scream Queens” co-creator Ryan Murphy had “bypassed [Paltrow] and offered Julia Roberts a plum story arc” on the series. The tabloid quotes a so-called “insider” as saying Murphy and Falchuk “think it’d be ratings gold to cast Julia opposite her niece Emma Roberts.” But, claims the magazine, it has “reignited a rivalry” between Roberts and Paltrow that goes back to 1998’s Shakespeare In Love.
The tabloid notes how Roberts dropped out of an earlier iteration of the film, for which Paltrow later won an Oscar for Best Actress. The magazine’s seemingly fake “source” now claims, “To this day, Julia believes that award is rightfully hers.” The fact that her boyfriend has allegedly offered Roberts a role on “Scream Queens” and not her, alleges the outlet, has left Paltrow betrayed and “seething mad.”
Here is what’s true in the OK! article: Both Roberts and Paltrow are actresses. The rest, however, is entirely wrong or grossly exaggerated. Roberts has gone on the record and said she has no interest in being in Murphy’s scary shows, because she personally doesn’t like getting frightened. Additionally, there is zero rivalry between the two stars over Shakespeare In Love. And finally, Paltrow has no reason to be “furious” or “seething mad” at Falchuk.
A rep for Paltrow exclusively tells Gossip Cop the tabloid’s story is “complete BS.” Sadly, we’re not surprised. The magazine has a habit of being dead wrong about Paltrow. Gossip Cop has corrected several of the tabloid’s inaccurate stories about Paltrow, including that she was flirting with Rob Lowe at his recent Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, as well as that she wanted to date Jared Leto, Jake Gyllenhaal and Mark Salling.
