Gwyneth Paltrow: I’ve Done Ecstasy (VIDEO)
Gwyneth Paltrow made her first-ever appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” on Thursday, and much like her Howard Stern interview earlier this week, the star did not hold back. Check out the videos below!
Paltrow, who was a guest alongside Amanda Peet, played the late-night show’s signature “Plead The Fifth” game, and burst into laughter when Andy Cohen asked her about the unnamed frenemy she took down in a 2009 Goop post. “Oh my god,” she exclaimed. “It wasn’t someone you would know. It wasn’t a famous person.” But when asked about two very famous people, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Garner, and with which she rather be stuck in an elevator, Paltrow replied, “That’s a really good question.”
Jolie, of course, is married to Paltrow’s ex-fiancé Brad Pitt, and Garner, of course, is married to Paltrow’s other ex Ben Affleck, both of whom she candidly spoke about with Stern, as Gossip Cop reported. She now told Cohen, “I think either! I really like Jennifer Garner. I don’t know Angelina Jolie very well, but either.” Cohen suggested she could get to know Jolie better if they were stuck together, which swayed the Oscar winner’s ultimate choice.
For the last of three questions, Cohen wanted to know what was the “hardest drug” she’s ever taken, and Paltrow didn’t miss a beat replying, “Ecstasy,” with a smirk. And in another speed round of questions, tied to the luxury, health-conscious items often featured on Goop, the host asked whether she ever has any “low-brow indulgences.” Paltrow answered yes to fast food, flying coach, sweatpants, jeggings, selfies, and binge-watching “Sex and the City,” but no to reality television, canned cheese, and reading gossip magazines.
Paltrow also shared her most embarrassing “mommmy wardrobe malfunction,” which was when her breast milk leaked from her boobs at the Oscars. Later during the also-live after show, she was asked by a viewer about the “greatest perk” of being friends with Beyoncé and Jay Z. “I get to be around their daughter who I love so much!” Paltrow gushed of Blue Ivy. “She is a powerhouse. She is the boss of everything, and she can do all the choreography to Sia’s Chandelier video even though she’s just three years old. She’s just super smart and I love her so much.”
Paltrow also answered a caller’s question about attending Cameron Diaz’s recent surprise wedding. Watch all the clips below!
