Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin To Finalize Divorce
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are set to finalize their divorce. The pair, who split in March 2014 after more than 10 years of marriage, will file the paperwork in court on Monday. The terms of their agreement are being kept under wraps as part of a confidential settlement, but it’s believed Paltrow and Martin will have joint custody of their two children.
According to TMZ, the actress and her rocker ex-husband cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split, even though the breakup was amicable. As Gossip Cop previously reported, Martin and Paltrow have remained friendly since announcing their “conscious uncoupling” last year. The pair was recently spotted vacationing with their kids in Mexico, and also celebrated Paltrow’s birthday with a few celebrity friends back in September. Martin and Paltrow even spent Labor Day Weekend together.
Despite their close bond, it seems like both stars have moved on romantically. The Coldpay frontman has been linked to Jennifer Lawrence, while Paltrow is supposedly dating “Glee” producer Brad Falchuk. In the February issue of Marie Claire, Paltrow admitted that she and Martin are better off as friends. “We’ve worked really f*cking hard to get to [this] point,” said Paltrow, adding, “But we’re very, very close, and it’s so nice. I feel like it’s, in a way, the relationship we were meant to have.” Gossip Cop will have updates.
