Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Wedding On Hold?
According to Life & Style, Stefani and Shelton’s “long-planned” Christmas wedding is now “on hold.” A so-called insider claims to the magazine, “Gwen’s friends kept telling her to slow down and not rush into things. So she and Blake decided to take their advice.”
The publication goes on to say that, for Shelton, “there’s a bonus benefit to the extra time.” The country superstar has allegedly “vowed to get into prime physical shape for his wedding day, and now he has months to do it.” In fact, it’s claimed the nuptials will now “take place early next summer, either at Blake’s Oklahoma ranch or in Nashville.”
“Now that the pressure’s off,” writes the outlet, “Blake and Gwen have time to put together the wedding of their dreams — not to mention the honeymoon.” The supposed tipster adds, “They would love to go somewhere tropical like Tahiti or Hawaii,” and further notes, “The wedding will definitely be worth the wait.”
Here’s what’s really going on: Nearly a month ago, Life & Style ran a cover story claiming not only that Stefani was marrying Shelton, but she was also pregnant. The tabloid insisted there’d be a Christmas wedding, and even printed a follow-up article just last week about Stefani and Shelton working on the pre-nup. But neither story was true.
The magazine flat-out made the articles up. So now, Life & Style is giving the convenient excuse that the couple just decided to postpone the wedding. Only there were never any nuptials in the works in the first place, as Stefani’s rep exclusively told Gossip Cop.
It’s also pretty telling that neither the pre-nup piece nor this new wedding-on-hold story mention anything about Stefani being pregnant. This is all creative writing from the tabloid, not the truth. And as long it continues, Gossip Cop will keep calling out the falsehoods and inconsistencies.
