Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Tour Report NOT True
Picking up an article from OK!, HollywoodLife asks, “Uh-oh, is Gwen Stefani’s summer tour about to put her relationship with Blake Shelton in jeopardy!?” The site goes on to write, “The singer is majorly worried about being apart from her man while she’s on the road, so she wants him to join her…but he’s not totally on-board.”
“Gwen is worried about the idea of spending so much time apart,” the site quotes OK! as saying in its new issue. “She’s afraid it’s going to blow up their romance. She wants to keep an eye on Blake.” Despite HollywoodLife’s headline, nowhere in its story does the webloid actually say Stefani is “begging” Shelton to join her on tour. But the bad blog does cite the “mag’s insider,” who says, “Blake loves Gwen, but doesn’t want to be her sidekick for two months.”
Towards the end of the piece, HollywoodLies acknowledges it doesn’t know if the report “is true,” but that didn’t stop the outlet from regurgitating it without bothering to investigate or fact-check. So, allow Gossip Cop to reveal what neither publication cared to tell readers.
Stefani is NOT “begging” Shelton to “follow her on tour,” because she doesn’t need to. The country superstar is already planning on putting in a number of appearances. In fact, after the No Doubt front woman tweeted last week that she’s prepping for the concert run, Shelton tweeted, “I’m going!!!! A lot!!!!”
Both HollywoodLife and OK! have a rich history of running inaccurate stories about Shelton and Stefani, including false tales of engagements and pregnancies. Gossip Cop is told this latest hysteria is just more of the same.
