Gwen Stefani’s Sons Not Getting Along With Blake Shelton?
In its current issue, Star is running a piece headlined, “Gwen’s Boys Snub Shelton.” It’s said, “There’s no doubt Gwen Stefani is a big fan of boyfriend Blake Shelton, but her two eldest boys, Kingston, 10, and Zuma, 8, are struggling to bond with the country crooner.”
“Blake gets along great with [youngest son] Apollo, but he can be a bit awkward around Kingston and Zuma,” a so-called “pal” tells the tabloid. Gossip Cop isn’t sure why any real friend would be talking about this with the magazine, which goes on to assert that Shelton “looked uncomfortable” when he recently went to Disneyland with Stefani and the boys.
Contends the outlet, “There’s just no camouflaging how much Kingston and Zuma miss their father, British rocker Gavin Rossdale. Of course, Shelton has nothing to do with how often the kids do or don’t see their dad. Nevertheless, the supposed “pal” says, “Blake tries so hard, but this is all new to him — and he’s got some big shoes to fill.”
The alleged tipster further claims, “All [the boys] know is that they started seeing a lot less of their dad ever since Blake showed up on the scene. They blame him for the upheaval in their lives.” It’s worth noting that Star sister publication OK! is running almost the exact same quote, and essentially the same story, this week, with an article claiming Shelton has been clashing with Stefani’s sons.
Neither version, however, is accurate. And it’s awfully suspicious that both publications are making these claims after the couple has been together for more than year. Surely if Stefani’s sons weren’t a fan of Shelton, the relationship wouldn’t have lasted this long. But regardless of whether the two continue to go the distance, Gossip Cop is told there is simply no issue between Shelton and the boys.
