Gwen Stefani Performs “Misery” On ‘SNL’ – WATCH VIDEO
Gwen Stefani sang “Misery” on this week’s “SNL.” She first performed “Make Me Like You.” “Misery” is the third single released off her new album This Is What The Truth Feels Like. See the video below of Stefani’s performance of “Misery” on “Saturday Night Live.”
“Misery” is about moving on from a past relationship and being completely into a new romance. Once again, people wondered whether it was about Gavin Rossdale, from whom she announced in August she was getting a divorce, or about her relationship with Blake Shelton. But with lyrics including, “You’re like drugs to me. I’m so into you totally,” Stefani confirmed “Misery” is about her new love, Blake Shelton.
So far, “Misery” just has a lyric video, featuring the song’s words and some illustrations, all drawn by Stefani herself. It reached number 11 on Billboard’s Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart and number 45 on the Digital Songs chart.
As Gossip Cop noted, this is the fifth time Stefani has been the musical guest. She first performed on “SNL” with her group No Doubt back in 1996 and then again in 2001. In 2005, she returned to “Saturday Night Live” as a solo performer, and then shared the stage with Akon in 2006. Now, she’s back one decade later.
