Gwen Stefani And Miranda Lambert NOT Having “Face-To-Face Showdown,” Despite Report (EXCLUSIVE)
Gwen Stefani and Miranda Lambert are NOT having a “face-to-face showdown,” despite a typically dramatic tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the report. We’re told no such meeting is in the works.
The new issue of In Touch came out Wednesday proclaiming the supposed love triangle with the two women and Blake Shelton as “even worse than Brad, Jen and Angelina!” Of course, it’s the rumor mill fueling stories like this one, not any actual conflict between the three singers. Nevertheless, it’s claimed that “behind the scenes — and behind the smiles — there’s tons of drama.”
“Miranda wants to confront Gwen over hurt feelings and unanswered questions,” the outlet declares, quoting a so-called “source” as saying, “Miranda will sit down with Gwen and just hash it out woman to woman. Just lay the cards down on the table. The showdown is going to be explosive.”
While In Touch says “it could happen at any moment,” its supposed “source” goes on to claim the meeting hasn’t been arranged yet, even though Stefani is on board. “She also feels like it’s time for two of them to sit down and have a girl-to-girl talk.” That leads the gossip rag to state, “Now things are about to erupt between Blake’s current and former loves, and he’s caught in the middle.”
Funny, nowhere in this piece is it mentioned that Stefani is pregnant with a baby girl, as the tabloid claimed just last month. You would think that would be something for the two women to talk about. But of course, that baby is just as made-up as this “showdown.”
Here’s what’s going on: Last week, In Touch ran a cover story alleging Stefani and Shelton were “at war” with her estranged husband Gavin Rossdale. Now we’re getting the Lambert angle. It’s all a transparent attempt to keep the Rossdale-Stefani-Shelton-Lambert saga going, even when reality doesn’t quite match up with the fiction. In this case, a rep for Stefani exclusively tells Gossip Cop it’s “untrue” the two women are going to meet up.
