Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are NOT in a “rush to the altar,” despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the story. A rep confirms it’s a fabrication.

Wednesday’s new issue of the National Enquirer alleges Stefani “sacrificed a huge chunk of her $100 million fortune — so she can walk down the aisle this summer.” A so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “Gwen told lawyers to fast-track her divorce from Gavin Rossdale because she’s so eager to marry Blake. She and Gavin didn’t have a prenup, but Gwen realizes money can’t buy love, so she’s cutting her losses.”

“She’s already started wedding planning because she wants to lock Blake down while he’s still hot on the idea,” the supposed snitch goes on to claim. “Gwen’s arranging a small, intimate Southern-style wedding on Blake’s ranch, which straddles the Oklahoma-Texas border. It’s going down this summer!”

Uh, we’ll see about that. Though Stefani and Rossdale have finalized their divorce agreement, the National Enquirer even notes that a judge hasn’t signed off on their marriage dissolution yet. They are still legally wed, and though the outlet doesn’t mention it, it could be up to another six months before the divorce is official.

In addition to leaving out that key detail, the supermarket tabloid makes no mention of its recent claim about Stefani being worried Rossdale was going to move their sons to London. Or its story about how Shelton dumped Stefani back in February. In other words, the National Enquirer likes to print a lot of false reports allegations about the couple, even if they’re not consistent. And now Stefani’s rep exclusively tells Gossip Cop that this “rush to the altar” claim is also “untrue.”
