Gwen Stefani Did NOT Go Ring Shopping, Despite Report
According to RadarOnline, Stefani was “caught redhanded” this week at the Beverly Hills jewelry store XIV Karats, “fueling rumors of her upcoming nuptials” with Shelton. Beyond that, the often discredited webloid has absolutely no information. Instead, it regurgitates its previously erroneous information about the couple’s alleged “wedding plans.”
The site claims Shelton and Stefani will wed at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Beverly Hills on May 5. The outlet then quotes its unnamed and ill-informed “source” alleging the couple “can hardly agree on anything,” with Stefani supposedly wanting a “big” wedding, while Shelton would prefer “an informal affair down home in Tennessee or their new place in Oklahoma.” “The Voice” coach acquiesced to Stefani, asserts the webloid, and now they’ll have 400 guests, including Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, Katy Perry, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, and possibly even their exes, Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert.
Back in the real world, however, Stefani did NOT even go engagement ring shopping. Her rep exclusively tells Gossip Cop the claim is “untrue,” and assures us the “No Doubt” singer is also not engaged to Shelton. As for the whole tale about the couple marrying inside Beverly Hills’ Church of the Good Shepherd come May, that was all based on RadarOnline’s sister publication OK!’s cover story last month that falsely claimed it had an invitation to Stefani and Shelton’s wedding. That article was wrong, and so it the latest about the singer going ring shopping and being engaged.
