Gwen Stefani NOT A “Pregnant Bride,” Despite Report (EXCLUSIVE)
Gwen Stefani is NOT a “pregnant bride,” despite a new tabloid cover that tries to trick readers into thinking an expectant Stefani married Blake Shelton. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk both allegations.
It’s the new issue of OK!, which came out on Wednesday, that gives Stefani the “pregnant bride” title, and purports to have “secrets of their Oklahoma wedding,” including details on the “$1 million ceremony,” as well as “the ring, the dress & 200 guests.” The cover further teases, “Boy or girl? Baby’s name inside!” But inside the magazine, it’s revealed the story is largely a bait-and-switch.
Despite the cover making it seem like Shelton and Stefani, who is actually still legally wed to Gavin Rossdale, have already tied the knot, the article declares, “They’re expecting a baby girl and getting hitched this summer!” A so-called “insider” is quoted as saying, “Gwen still believed you should be married before you have a baby.” And so, a supposed source says, “They’ve been trying to get pregnant for months, so this would be an absolute dream come true.”
Contradicting both its cover and earlier “baby girl” statement, the story goes on to make clear that Stefani is not currently with child, but wouldn’t mind being a “pregnant bride.” But wait. This is the same magazine that said Stefani was “having a baby” last November.
And then in January, the gossip rag said she was “pregnant with twins.” The following month, OK! repeated its unfounded claim that Stefani was carrying two babies. But now she’s not pregnant at all, but just hoping to be? Right.
OK! is just publishing deceptive cover after deceptive cover, regardless of any inconsistencies or accuracy. The tabloid has never known what’s going on with Shelton and Stefani, let alone any plans for a baby and wedding. And if they have any such goals, Gossip Cop can assure everyone the couple’s pals would not be running to the gossip mags with that information. A source close to Shelton assures Gossip Cop the “pregnant bride” tale is fiction, while a rep for Stefani exclusively confirms the report is all “lies.”
