Gwen Stefani NOT Pregnant With Blake Shelton’s Baby, Despite Report
The new issue of Star, which was published on Tuesday, announces “Gwen & Blake Pregnant.” The cover even declares, “Gloating Gwen tells shocked Miranda [Lambert] on Christmas Day!” But with the accompanying story, however, it’s clear the magazine pulled a total bait-and-switch.
Despite definitively announcing Stefani is pregnant on the cover, inside the magazine it’s said “sources close to the singers believe they’re expecting” (emphasis ours). And though the cover makes it seem like Lambert was told about a supposed pregnancy, the article actually states, “Hearing that Gwen is pregnant would be her worst nightmare” (emphasis ours). But the story isn’t just filled with tabloid trickery.
There’s also ridiculous speculation. “Gwen wasn’t drinking over the holidays, and she relaxed her workout regimen too, so no one would be surprised if she turned out to be pregnant,” a so-called “source” tells the outlet. Except Stefani and Shelton went to a winery together on Monday, and we have it on good authority that she was imbibing during the tour.
Star also regurgitates pregnancy claims from sister publication OK!, adding that “seeing the lovebirds over the holidays seemed to convince some friends and family members that the rumors could be true.” But Shelton actually mocked that article, and Gossip Cop exclusively corrected the false cover story when it ran more than a month ago. And now we can correct this version as well.
Stefani and Shelton’s relationship is no doubt progressing. But there is no baby on the way. Stefani is not pregnant, contrary to the Star cover, and unlike the article claims, no one is actually speculating that she is… except for untrustworthy tabloids with an agenda.
