Gwen Stefani Is NOT Trying To Prevent Miley Cyrus ‘Voice’ Return, Despite Report
As Gossip Cop reported, NBC announced this week that Stefani will return as a coach for Season 12 of “The Voice,” while Cyrus will skip a cycle and come back for Season 13. But according to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Stefani doesn’t want the fellow singer coming back at all. Without a single source to back up its claim, the site theorizes Stefani might “demand to stay” once her season wraps and not allow Cyrus to replace her. The repeatedly discredited webloid adds, “Gwen can’t hide her obvious jealousy for the much younger and popular Miley Cyrus.”
The unreliable website goes on to claim Stefani’s ultimate goal is to become “the only female coach” on the reality competition show, then purports that the singer “has a long history of jealousy issues and insecurity.” The site adds, “It’s no wonder that she shut Miley out from the show altogether.” But of course, Cyrus is returning for Season 13 and hasn’t been “shut out” at all.
Despite the site’s baseless report lacking a single source, Gossip Cop still checked with our reliable source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us this tale is simply “false.” Stefani doesn’t have any jealousy or ill-will towards Cyrus, nor is she trying to take away her job, despite the outlet’s phony assertion otherwise. In fact, Gossip Cop previously busted CDL for wrongly reporting Stefani was replacing Christina Aguilera on Season 10 of “The Voice” because she was dating Blake Shelton. Obviously, that never happened, and the site’s latest report surrounding the NBC reality series is equally bogus.
