Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Pushing Miley Cyrus Off “The Voice”?
A headline in the current edition of OK! reads, “Gwen & Blake Pushing Miley Out.” According to the article, Stefani and Shelton “are on a mission to have Gwen, who’ll return to take Miley Cyrus’ coaching spot for season 12 next year, stay on for season 13, as well, even though Miley’s already been announced.” As Gossip Cop reported, it was revealed last month that Cyrus and Stefani will switch off for the next two “Voice” cycles.
But now a so-called “insider” tells the magazine, “Gwen doesn’t want to share the pop-music spotlight with Miley. But it’s mostly because she and Blake see this as their show — they fell in love on the set, and they want to keep working together. They’re both dropping hints to the producers about how much happier they’d be without Miley in the mix. It’s obnoxious, but they’re only thinking of themselves right now.”
Stefani and Shelton “would love it if Miley would just drop out. They feel she’s in the way, and they don’t try to hide it,” claims the outlet’s supposed source. The alleged tipster goes on to say, “Miley would be crushed if she knew. She thinks they like her!”
They DO like her, but the problem is that OK! doesn’t like the facts and rather print fictional feud stories like this one. In fact, this tale is coming from the same publication that just weeks ago said Shelton liked Cyrus so much, Stefani was jealous of their bond. Now Shelton doesn’t like her, and wants her gone? Please.
The tabloid is just making it up as it goes along, which is why previous articles have falsely claimed Stefani is pregnant and working with Shelton on a “Voice” variety show spinoff. Neither is mentioned here. And Gossip Cop is assured this that this new piece about a plot to eliminate Cyrus from the NBC competition is just as false those were.
