Gwen Stefani Invited President Obama To Wedding?
RadarOnline blares in a headline, “White House Wedding? Gwen & Blake Reveal HUGE ‘I Do’ News At Obama’s State Dinner.” The accompanying story begins, “President Barack Obama hosted his final state dinner last night at the White House in Washington D.C., but according to a source in attendance, Gwen Stefani and boyfriend Blake Shelton stole the show with massive news about their upcoming wedding!”
Stefani, who was at the private event as an invited performer, brought Shelton as her date. In front of the elite crowd, which included a few other notable celebrities, they gave a surprise duet performance of their collaboration, “Go Ahead And Break My Heart.” But according to the webloid, a key moment with the couple took place behind the scenes.
“Gwen and Blake met up with Barack and Michelle privately and they had a marvelous time together,” a so-called “insider” is quoted as telling the site, which goes on to claim, “During Shelton and Stefani’s intimate conversation with the Obamas — they revealed some VERY personal details about their upcoming wedding!” The outlet’s supposed tipster alleges, “Gwen told the President and First Lady that she and Blake were honored to be there and that they are definitely getting invites to their wedding.”
That leads RadarOnline to ask readers, “Stefani and Shelton haven’t even announced an engagement yet, but do you think that Barack and Michelle Obama will attend Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s wedding?” Well, they haven’t actually been invited, Gossip Cop has learned.
The story’s claims are “untrue,” Stefani’s rep exclusively tells Gossip Cop. The spokesperson has also previously confirmed there isn’t a wedding currently in the works.
