Gwen Stefani & Gavin Rossdale “On the Verge of a Split”?

“Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale’s reign as rock’s royal couple is coming to an end,” reports Star magazine, which claims the couple is “on the verge of a split!”

A purported “insider” for the tabloid says, “They have a roller coaster relationship, and right now it has flown off the tracks,” adding, “They’re fighting nonstop.”

So what’s allegedly come between Stefani and Rossdale after nearly ten years of marriage?

According to Star, the pair, who have two young boys together, are at odds over her success and his past.

One so-called source says, “When they got together, it was Gavin who had the big career,” but over the years, “He’s had to watch as his rock-star status dwindled and hers soared to stellar levels.”

Moreover, the mag claims Stefani supposedly lost trust in Rossdale due to various “bombshells” about his past, such as his 2010 admission to Details that he once had a fling with cross-dressing pop star Marilyn.

Adds the insider, “Gwen often wonders what other secrets Gavin is hiding,” and “feels like she doesn’t even know” Rossdale at times.

Star goes on to claim that the duo has entered couples therapy, “but it doesn’t seem to be working.”

“Everyone is saying a divorce could happen any day now,” offers yet another unnamed “source,” who declares, “It’s not a question of if; it’s when.”

Hmm…

It’s funny that Star‘s purported “insiders” claim to know absolutely everything about the couple’s supposed martial problems… but they have no idea when they’ll file divorce papers.

That’s because the sources actually know NOTHING about the couple’s relationship.

An actual source close to Stefani and Rossdale tells Gossip Cop the story is “completely untrue,” adding, “They are not divorcing.”

Yikes… It’s been a pretty rough day for Star.

    I get the feeling that tabloids have a template for stories and they just change names and dates. This story sounds exaclty like all the break up is coming stories. He/she is jealous of the others success, they are constantly fighting, it is coming anytime now.

    Just plug in the names of the celebrities, talk about “sources and insiders”, have one thing that is specific to the couple and Boom’–tabloid story of the week. Rinse and repeat in a couple of weeks with a different couple. Do people still spend their hard earned dollars on this nonesense and if they do, why.

    If this is true, and it seems to be the template for “her success” his downswing, alcoholic time, affairs, etc., this has caused many a marriage to decline.
    Even The Artist Movie of (silent films) is about the Frenchman’s decline and his girlfriend’s mega rise to stardom!
    It’s like men married to women who are Mega Stars, Musicians, etc. always seem to have no real time with their wives and their schedules distract and bonding normalcy with their agents, their co-stars, their directors, their producers, etc.
    How to keep it together: It’s a jealousy thing over the gender of one spouse becoming successful, moneymaking, and the other one being much lesser having to become the nanny role/father or mother role and out of swing with the Hollywood set.
    That’s why so many first marriage partners get dumped with children too usually for the more rising star to have already met and bonded with another one more in common and in tune with the trends, the friends, the parties, and the career breaks.
    Example: Johnny Depp is a Super Star and his Wife is a singer…Sandra Bullock and Katy Perry were once married; their husbands were not famous as they were.
    It’s normal for guys watching kids to meet ‘other women who are mothers at Central Park’ while their engaged in family activities. Normalcy rules: Socialization wins.

    It’s easy to pick apart The Star’s story. It’s bullshit. It’s made up bullshit to sell headlines. They know everything except when they’ll split. They don’t even have a time frame when they’ll split. It’s bullshit.

    As for close sources denying, it’s usually because it’s bullshit. Look, the tablets get it right once in a blue moon. But 9 times out of ten, they aren’t even close to being right.They’re trying to sales their magazines. So any lie about a celebrity couple will do that.
