Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Faking Relationship For “The Voice” Cameras?
Are Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton faking their relationship for “The Voice” cameras? A new story is questioning whether the couple’s PDA is “all for show.” Gossip Cop can reveal the truth.
RadarOnline exclaims in a headline on Friday, “‘The Voice’ Fakery! Gwen & Blake Play Nice For The Cameras, Battle Behind The Scenes.” The article asserts that while the power duo is “one of reality TV’s most loved-up couples,” they’re actually “putting on an entirely different show” off-camera. A so-called “on-set” snitch claims to the site, “They are not as loving towards each other behind the scenes.”
“Gwen often looks irritated by him backstage and she is not constantly smiling at Blake like she is when they are taping,” contends the supposed source. The webloid goes on to repeat its debunked claim about Shelton being upset Stefani “flirted” with a contestant. It’s now alleged she “clearly learned her lesson, because this week she blabbed on-air that she and Shelton have a ‘make out playlist.'”
Actually, Stefani didn’t say she AND Shelton have a “make out playlist,” but the outlet still uses it as a way to prove the couple isn’t being “authentic” when they have playful on-camera moments or allude to their romance. “This is just not how they are when cameras are off,” the “snitch” contends, adding, “Gwen can actually be quite moody and she is not always the happy-go-lucky person that she likes the public to believe she is.”
This is in line with another recent story from the outlet that claimed Stefani and Shelton were being ordered to “show more PDA” for ratings. But both then and now, RadarOnline completely contradicted a prior report about Stefani and Shelton having such a “lovefest” that they were “annoying” their co-stars and the show’s crew. It’s almost like the webloid just makes it up week to week, consistency be damned.
Look, Gossip Cop was admittedly quite skeptical when Stefani and Shelton started dating in late 2015 as it did come off like a convenient publicity stunt at first. But that was more than a year ago now. While the couple may not last forever, over time they have proven their relationship is genuine. This is not a “showmance,” and Gossip Cop is told neither Stefani nor Shelton is faking anything for the cameras. For now, it’s the real deal.
