Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton NOT Eloping, Despite Report (EXCLUSIVE)
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are NOT getting married, despite a new tabloid cover story wrongly claiming they plan to elope as soon as her divorce is finalized. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the report. A rep tells us the allegation is false.
The new issue of In Touch hit newsstands on Wednesday blaring, “Gwen & Blake WEDDING SHOCKER!” The accompanying story claims the stars are “ready to take their whirlwind romance to the next level.” A so-called “insider” even shares how the topic of marriage supposedly came up.
Sitting together during an “amazing night,” it’s said “Blake asked her what she was thinking and Gwen just blurted out, ‘Let’s get married?'” The “insider” claims, “Blake didn’t even blink and said ‘Let’s do it!’ That’s how it started, and now they’re not looking back.”
Now, says the magazine, they’ve “decided to elope.” The supposed source alleges, “The thought of planning an actual big wedding celebration is the last thing either of them would ever want to do, so they’ve agreed that just disappearing for a few weeks would be ideal. They’re thinking someplace very laid-back and tropical, like Mexico.”
While taking a vacation together is certainly not out of the realm of possibility, there won’t be any trip for the purpose of eloping. A rep for Stefani exclusively tells Gossip Cop that the In Touch marriage tale is “untrue.”
