Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton NOT Getting “Bonus” From ‘The Voice’ To Stay In Love, Despite Report
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are not getting paid bonuses by “The Voice” to stay in love on Season 12, despite a completely made-up story. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this fabrication. We’re told it’s “untrue.”
RadarOnline blares in the headline of a new story, “Love Pays! Blake & Gwen Get Massive Bonus For ‘The Voice’ Return.” The site then quotes a “source close to the production” as saying Stefani and Shelton are “getting paid an exceptional bonus that is significantly higher than the other judges to keep the spark alive on-camera.” The same alleged “insider,” however, claims, “There is a stipulation in their contract, which is more of a break-up clause,” that should they split up they still have to finish up the season.
Basically, the webloid contends that Shelton and Stefani are being financially incentivize to be in love. And the contention about the “break-up clause” is equally absurd, because their contracts cover their obligations to appear on Season 12, and are not tied to their personal lives. Notwithstanding, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation and we’re assured the site’s story is not true. A rep for Stefani also exclusively tells us the bonus claims are “untrue.”
Our impeccable insider, however, noted that Stefani will not make more than Adam Levine, who along with Shelton, has been a coach on every single season since the show began in April 2011. For Shelton and Levine, this new season, which begins next month, will be their twelfth as coaches, while it will only be Stefani’s third. She previously was a coach on seasons seven and nine.
While it’s true RadarOnline accurately guessed Stefani and Shelton (when they were both newly single) would become a couple, the site has been wrong on several other occasions about the two. In October, Gossip Cop busted the outlet for falsely reporting Shelton was caught secretly meeting ex-wife Miranda Lambert. We also corrected the webloid a month ago when it untruthfully alleged Stefani went ring shopping in Beverly Hills, and was engaged to Shelton, a claim her rep exclusively told Gossip Cop was false. Much like those articles, the latest about Stefani and Shelton receiving bonuses to stay in love is also off-key.
