Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Adopting Baby Girl?
“Gwen & Blake Talking Adoption,” reads a headline in the new edition of Life & Style. The accompanying story says the couple is “still hashing out the details of their wedding, but it seems there’s another party they should be planning, too: a baby shower.” According to the magazine, Stefani and Shelton “are moving full speed ahead with plans to start a family.”
A so-called “insider” is quoted as saying, “They’ve started talking about adoption.” But that’s said to be a back-up plan. The publication writes, “Blake and Gwen both want a girl, and planned to turn to IVF to make their dream a reality.” But “if that doesn’t work out,” the supposed source says “they will absolutely pursue adoption.”
“It might be a baby, or it might be a toddler. But no matter what, they want to have a little girl in their arms by the end of 2017,” claims the alleged tipster. The snitch adds that the couple “will do whatever it takes to have a baby girl.”
But these claims are coming from the same outlet that just two weeks ago ran a whole cover story about how Stefani was pregnant and marrying Shelton, even calling her a “pregnant bride.” Now she’s not pregnant and exploring adoption? The tabloid can’t have it both ways, particularly when neither version is accurate.
A source close to the situation exclusively tells Gossip Cop it’s “untrue” Stefani and Shelton are looking into adopting a baby girl. Currently, there’s no such plan in the works.
