Greg Plitt Dead After Getting Hit By Train
Actor and fitness trainer Greg Plitt was fatally struck by a train in California on Saturday. He was 37.
Plitt, an army veteran, was hit by a Metrolink train in Burbank around 4 p.m. local time, just north of the station. He was reportedly with friends and taking video at the time of the incident, but it’s unclear what exactly led to the tragic accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and while an investigation continues, police have already said it was “not clearly a suicide.”
Plitt was best known for his athleticism, as seen online, and in magazines and television. He appeared in the film Grudge Match with Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone, and the 2008 Bravo series “Work Out.” Former Bravo executive Andy Cohen tweeted Sunday morning, “We couldn’t take our eyes off Greg Plitt after we cast him on ‘Work Out’- was as nice as he was beautiful. Seemed invincible, like Superman.”
Indeed, as tributes pour in across social media, fans are expressing their shock that this beloved bodybuilder, an icon to many, has died. Plitt, who also modeled for Calvin Klein, is featured in the new Bravo series “Friends To Lovers,” which premiered last week. His storyline explores whether he should “take a risk on love and step over the friendship line” with his pal Melanie Marden.
Hauntingly, one of Plitt’s final Instagram posts, shared in December, is an inspirational video clip of him of asking, “Will you be remembered?” For Plitt, the answer is yes. See videos below.
