Adele To Perform At Grammy Awards, More Grammy Performers Announced
Adele will perform at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards, it was announced on Wednesday. The three other performers who were revealed to be taking the Grammy stage in this first round of announcements are Kendrick Lamar, Little Big Town and The Weeknd.
Adele’s latest album, 25, did not qualify for the 2016 nominations because it was released after the September 30, 2015 deadline. However, there’s a good chance we’ll see Adele return to the 2017 awards telecast as a nominee. She last performed at the awards show in 2011, and has won 10 Grammys to date.
Lamar, a two-time Grammy winner, is this year’s top nominee with 11 nominations, including Album Of The Year for To Pimp A Butterfly, and Song Of The Year for “Alright.” Little Big Town, who will make their Grammy performance debut, are nominated for two awards. The Weeknd will also take the Grammy stage for the first time. He’s up for seven nominations, including Record Of The Year for Can’t Feel My Face, and Album Of The Year for Beauty Behind The Madness.
Additionally, legendary singer Lionel Richie will receive a special tribute at the awards ceremony, highlighting his long and successful career. The 58th Annual Grammy Awards, hosted by LL Cool J, airs live on CBS on February 15. The next round of performers are expected to be announced soon.
