While a number of musical artists are celebrating their Grammy Awards nominations on Monday, some of the biggest names in music, including Rihanna, Madonna, and Nick Jonas got completely snubbed. So, who got shut out from this years Grammys?

Among the most surprising omissions is Rihanna. The eight-time Grammy Awards-winner will be sitting out this year after both of her recent singles, “Bitch Better Have My Money” and “FourFiveSeconds” and were overlooked. The latter of the two singles is particularly surprising since it included guest appearances from Kanye West and Paul McCartney.

Despite having a Top 10 hit this summer with “Jealous,” Nick Jonas’ single and self-titled debut album were snubbed. Madonna enjoyed some of her best reviews in years with her Rebel Heart album released last March, but it wasn’t enough to impress Grammy Awards voters. The album and its singles didn’t make the cut, leaving the seven-time Grammys winner still looking for her first win since 2008.

Lana Del Rey fans were surprised her album Honeymoon failed to get a single nomination, event though it was critically acclaimed. And Carly Rae Jepsen found herself in similar territory with her well-received album Emotion being left off the list. Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” received two nominations in 2013, but she has yet to walk away with a trophy.
