Grace VanderWaal “America’s Got Talent” Video: Watch “Light The Sky” Performance!
Grace VanderWaal gave another incredible performance for the “America’s Got Talent” semifinals on Tuesday. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop has reported, VanderWaal has been the season 11 frontrunner since she won Howie Mandel’s Golden Buzzer during the auditions with the performance of an original song called “I Don’t Know My Name.” The advantage sent her directly to the quarterfinals. And last week, VanderWaal sang “I’ll Hold Your Hand,” another original track, for her first live “AGT” performance.
Not surprisingly, the judges were again blown away, and Mandel predicted the 12-year-old will not only be the most successful “America’s Got Talent” artist ever, but also quite possibly bigger than Taylor Swift, to whom Simon Cowell had previously compared her. So, it was practically a given the following night when host Nick Cannon revealed VanderWaal had received enough votes to go on to the semifinals. And now, for that round tonight, the tween performed yet another song she wrote herself, this one called “Light The Sky.”
And once again there was a standing ovation from the entire panel. Mel B said afterward, “Grace, I mean, you’re 12 years old. You have such a unique voice and you’re in such control of everything. At 12 years old, you’re already a superstar.”
Heidi Klum told her, “Grace, you are a superstar. You are the real deal, and I would not be surprised if you are one of the last two people standing here.” Simon Cowell said VanderWaal’s performances always work because it all comes directly from her. “I’m so flattered and thrilled that you came on this show to share your talent,” the music mogul told her.
And Mandel noted, “The world knows you could win this.” Check out the full video below!
