As “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” continues to pile up box office receipts, Gossip Cop is looking at the only thing that’s spun more often than theater turnstiles – ridiculous gossip about the production and its stars.
Yesterday we served up 10 of our favorite Robert Pattinson rumors gone awry, and today we look back at an eventful few months for Kristen Stewart – although not nearly as eventful as the tabloids would have you believe. We’ve already touched on her supposed “Tweeting” and estrangement from castmates (uh huh), but here are ten “new” old rumors we just can’t forget:

Whatever their relationship is, there was no “realty reality” when it came to reports of L.A. love nesting.

Remember when the duo staged a massive promotional push together through Australia?? Neither do we.

Weeks after she joked about wearing a disguise among fans, blogs make a mountain of a molehill.
7. Gotcha! Ex-Boyfriend Caught Cheating on Kristen… Wait, That Makes No Sense
Blog announces Michael Angarano went out behind her back – even though they weren’t dating anymore.
6. Um, Gotcha? Ex-Boyfriend “Visits” Vancouver to Thwart Possible Robsten Relationship
Angarano “cheating” rumors went nowhere, and neither did this drivel about a reunion with Stewart.
5. Stewart vs. Nikki Reed for Pattinson
For two people who supposedly hate each other, they spend a lot of time looking anything like it.
4. Pattinson vs. Taylor Lautner for Stewart
Speaking of absurd “love triangles,” this had to be the silliest recurring rumor of the summer.
3. Grazia Cover Girl Stewart “Goes Public” with Pattinson Romance
No. No, she did not. There was never any “announcement.” There was never going to be an “announcement.”
2. Mag: “Shock Love Triangle” & Discussion of “Intense Sexual Chemistry” Highlight Robsten Revelations
Ugh. What could NW declare that would be worse than this?
