Gossip Cop is happy to announce that we’ve signed a deal to create a television pilot!

Based on our model of busting bad celebrity news, the television version of “Gossip Cop” is being produced with TV Guide Network and will be hosted by Beth Ostrosky Stern.

This site’s founder/top cop, Michael Lewittes, will executive produce the Gossip Cop TV project alongside co-founder Dan Abrams and Michael Hirschorn of Ish Entertainment.

“I’m thrilled that Gossip Cop is being turned into a TV show, and couldn’t be happier to partner with TV Guide,” says Lewittes. “Right from the start TV Guide ‘got it’ and understood the uniqueness of the site and the potential for an entertainment show that separates fact from fiction in celebrity reporting.”

Lewittes adds, “And I’m so excited to have Beth Ostrosky Stern as our host. In addition to being great on TV, Beth knows firsthand what it feels like to be the subject of inaccurate rumors, and so she’ll bring a personal passion to the show that is sure to connect with viewers.” So that’s our big news! Hooray! Now you’ll be able to get the most accurate celebrity reporting at GossipCop.com and, hopefully soon, on TV!
