GMA Anchors Dress As DWTS For Halloween Ball – WATCH VIDEO!
“Good Morning America” featured its 2014 “Halloween Ball” on Friday’s show. Hosts Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Lara Spencer and Amy Robach all got into the holiday spirit with amazing costumes, dressing as some unlikely would-be “Dancing with the Stars” contestants.
Roberts became Frozen’s ice princess Elsa, joined by “DWTS” star Tony Dovolani and Elsa’s snowman sidekick Olaf. Roberts joked, “We’re going to ice the competition.” Stephanopoulos and his wife Ali Wenworth also paired up, dressing as newlyweds George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin. Like Roberts, Robarch found inspiration in fairy tales, transforming herself into Maleficent.
Meanwhile, Spencer definitely had the weirdest costume, appearing as a very uncanny Prince George. The royal baby revealed, “I just learned to walk, but I want to win the disco ball.” Pro dancers Keo Motsepe and Karina Smirnoff also showed up for the festivities as Robach and Spencer’s respective dance partners. The final contestant was ABC News meteorologist Ginger Zee, costumed as Ariana Grande. “GMA” correspondent Cameron Mathison hosted the “competition” as Frankenstein, as the new DWTS “cast” showed off their dance moves while “Bang Bang” played.
Michael Strahan also got in on the Halloween festivities, turning the building’s freight elevator into a “fright” elevator and hilariously scaring unsuspecting victims like Roberts and Sherri Shepherd.
The celebration followed last year’s festivities in which Roberts portrayed Oprah, while Spencer was Uncle Si from “Duck Dynasty” and later Miley Cyrus. As Gossip Cop reported, former anchor Josh Elliott appeared as Abraham Lincoln and Ron Burgundy, while fellow ex-“GMA” personality Sam Champion dressed as King Joffrey from “Game of Thrones.”
