Glee, New Girl and Raising Hope Renewed
2:37 pm, April 9th, 2012
“Glee” has just been renewed for a fourth season.
The FOX series about a high school glee club will return for another year, but it remains to be seen which actors will continue with the show.
Several characters, including Chris Colfer’s Kurt and Cory Monteith’s Finn, are set to graduate McKinley High at the end of the current season, and plans for a proposed spin-off have fallen through.
Regardless, “Glee” will be joined next season on the FOX schedule by “Raising Hope” and freshman hit “New Girl.”
“Over the past season, ‘New Girl’ has become the hottest new appointment series for young adults; ‘Raising Hope’ has established itself as one of the smartest and most unique offbeat comedies on television; and ‘Glee’ has continued its success as a genre-defying, global cultural phenomenon,” said network president Kevin Reilly in a statement.
He continued, “All three of these comedies add a fresh and distinctive flavor to our Tuesday nights, and I’m really happy to bring them back to our air next season.”
