Why Is Glee Final Season Only 13 Episodes?
“Glee” will return for a shortened 13-episode sixth and final season, and on Sunday, Fox chairman Peter Rice explained why.
“We want to go out in a way that celebrates it,” he’s quoted as saying at the Television Critics Association event. “We thought that a final 13 episodes and compacting it and doing it in a straight-run was a better way to finish the show.”
The show is scheduled to return in 2015.
Naya Rivera will return — but in a smaller role.
On Sunday, Rice noted, “I think Glee is one of the great shows in television history… it was so hot and so big. It touched so many hearts and it brought social issues to floor and it burned so hot and so fast.”
Do you like the decision to have a shortened season, aired in a straight shot without breaks?
