Ginger Zee, Wanya Morris & Nyle DiMarco Tie For Highest Score On ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Premiere (VIDEO)
Wanya Morris and his partner Lindsay Arnold, Ginger Zee and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy, and Nyle DiMarco and his partner Peta Murgatroyd all tied for the highest score on the “Dancing With The Stars” season 22 premiere. The three dancing pairs received a total of 23 out of 30 points. See the videos below.
Morris of Boyz II Men went first and danced a cha cha to his own group’s “Motownphilly.” Len Goodman was so impressed he told the singer, “You could make it to the end of the road.” Meanwhile, Bruno Tonioli said Morris danced with “great ease” and “swagger,” and was “suave” and “delicious.” And Carrie Ann Inaba was also blown away. She exclaimed, “I was like damn!”
Also receiving a 23 out of 30 was ABC weatherwoman Ginger Zee for her jive to “Move” from the musical “Dreamgirls.” Playing off her profession, Tonioli said that the “forecast is looking pretty good” for her. Similarly, using a weather metaphor, Goodman felt, “A ray of sunshine came to the floor.” And Inaba called Zee “phenomenal.”
And, as Gossip Cop reported, DiMarco’s debut on “Dancing With The Stars” with Murgatroyd was also impressive, with Goodman calling his cha cha “terrific” and Tonioli exclaiming, “You could be America’s next top dancer.” Meanwhile, Inaba told DiMarco about how “much respect” she had for the deaf model.
Votes from the “Dancing With The Stars”premiere will be tallied, and the contestant with the lowest score will be sent home next Monday. Check out videos below from the premiere’s top three performances.
