Ginger Zee Does “Wonderful” Contemporary Dance On ‘Dancing With The Stars’ (VIDEO)
Ginger Zee and Val Chmerkovskiy danced a contemporary routine to Phillip Phillips’s “Home” on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars.” This week’s theme was each star’s “Most Memorable Year.” Watch the video below.
Zee said her most memorable year was 2013 because that’s the year she met her husband Ben. He said in the taped package that he knew he wanted to marry Zee, as soon as they met. And Zee explained she chose Phillip Phillips’s “Home” for her song because “I love Phillip Phillips,” and also her husband bought her Phillip Phillips’s sheet music, which they hung up in their first home.
The ABC meteorologist has taken “Dancing With The Stars” by storm, receiving high grades for routines. For her very first dance during the season premiere, Zee nailed her jive to “Move” from the musical “Dreamgirls,” and received the evening’s top score. Week Two had her doing a samba to Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” on “Latin Night, which also earned her respectable scores.
Len Goodman felt, “I thought you really pulled that off.” Bruno Tonioli added, “It had a very clear emotional story throughout… It was wonderful.” And Carrie Ann Inaba also enjoyed the storytelling of the routine.
