Ginger Zee Dances “Superb” On ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Semifinals (VIDEO)
Ginger Zee and Val Chmerkovskiy danced a near perfect quickstep to Leona Lewis’s “Fire Under My Feet” on this week’s “Dancing With The Stars.” Watch the video below.
Last week, the ABC meteorologist earned her second perfect score in a row for her Argentine tango to Lady Gaga’s “Telephone.” Carrie Ann Inaba called it “mind-blowing,” while Len Goodman thought it was “one helluva dance.” And Bruno Tonioli declared it “magic” and “outstanding.” Zee also picked up another 29 points for her and Chmerkovskiy’s Judges’ Team-Up Challenge dance with Wanya Morris and Lindsay Arnold.
While she didn’t get a perfect score on Monday, she came very close with her quickstep, which the judges loved. Goodman said, “The is no ‘I’ in team, but there is an ‘I’ in ‘Ginger’ and ‘Fantastic.'” Tonioli felt Zee’s routine was “superb.” But Inaba expressed that while there were some “sparking diamonds,” she also noticed a “boo boo.” Before her quickstep, Zee performed an intense trio paso double on “Dancing With The Stars” with Chmerkovskiy and Artem Chigvintsev.
This time around, Zee and Chmerkovskiy’s quickstep to Leona Lewis’s “Fire Under My Feet” earned them 29 out of 30 points. Check out the video below of Ginger Zee and Val Chmerkovskiy’s performance on the semifinals.
