NBA star Gilbert Arenas pleaded guilty to a felony count of carrying a pistol in the District of Columbia without a license.

The Washington Wizard’s conviction to a single count of violating the strict gun law may imperil his professional future.

Arenas wound up in legal hot water after a December 21 incident in which Arenas allegedly played a joke on teammate Javaris Crittenton by displaying a gun he stored in his locker.

The NBA later suspended Arenas indefinitely for the behavior.
