Tabloid: George Clooney and Stacy Keibler “Headed for a Split!”

George Clooney and Stacy Keibler are “headed for a split!” announces a headline from Life & Style.

The mag says Clooney is “ready to reprise his role as one of the world’s most eligible bachelors,” alleging that the actor soon “plans to end his relationship” with Keibler.

A supposed “source” tells the tab, “She likes to have fun, and George has been working more than ever,” noting, “Lately, he’s been preoccupied with award season and launching his new Casamigos tequila.”

Umm… Keibler attended the Golden Globes and other awards shows with Clooney, and even made a cameo in his Casamigos tequila commercial.

Still, the magazine claims ”George’s new, aloof attitude is taking a toll on Stacy.”

The purported “insider” alleges that Keibler “seemed very distant and sad” at the Golden Globes.

Actually, Gossip Cop saw Keibler at the Golden Globes, and she appeared to be nothing less than her usual jovial self.

Regardless, we checked in with a rep for Clooney, who tells us it’s NOT true that he’s splitting from Keibler.

    What a load of crap. He’d have to actually have a relationship with Keibler in order to split with her, and he doesn’t. She’s nothing but a contracted publicity escort, and a very trashy and unattractive one.

    That’s mean. Why would george need a contract relationship? It’s not like he’s a scientologist. Plus, why has he kept her for so long? He usually dumps them by now…. Either way he must like her.

    Well it is just a matter of time as Stacy is now in her early 30s. George has a history of dating women in their late 20s for a couple of years, making them over into elegant arm candy, and then dumping them in their early 30s. Or at least that’s what he’s done with his last 2 girlfriends. I love George Clooney for his intellect, looks and acting/producing talent. BUT, he’s hardly great romance material unless you just want to have fun for a couple years and don’t mind or perhaps even like the make over part.

    I’d hardly call Stacy unattractive. She’s drop dead gorgeous! As far as her being a contracted publicity escort, I have to be honest and call the whole idea more than a bit crazy!

    More lies from the publicity trolls. Canalis’s contract was for two years, and Keibler’s will also be for two years or less.

    Keibler was in her thirties when the publicity contract began a year and a half ago, although she is probably much older as she definitely looks like it. And elegant arm candy? Who are you kidding? The stripper wrestler always looks trashy.
